I'm not really sure what you are asking. In some cases the changes at a hotel are beyond the control of your travel agent. The difference with your travel agent and using an online discounter is that your travel agent is going to try and get the problem fixed. In most cases getting you something better than before. Whereas with an online discounter you may never find out about the problem and you may arrive to find you don't have a room at all.

travel agents never discloses their sources ,this is their job ( nowadays that cyberspace is full of information) I will said consumer offices in your district, but do not have your hopes up, travel agents are very much in their own!
